Poetry, My Handwriting Changed Overnight
i sat still, surrounded by the salty bathwater
as a swordfish feeds off my nakedness along with you.
my spinal fluid that once nourished ̶l̶e̶e̶e̶c̶h̶e̶s̶ you. now grows angel wings, carved of calcium.
faux fabrications that you had founded our friendship on. now, flow around my fingertips as they
glide across the currents of the bath.
is it fun for you to rip me apart vertebrae by vertebrae, reviving my old traumas keyloided in my
atria?
narcissistic needles rest alongside my bones, unwillingly fusing themself into me.
“at the end of the day” you say
life is undeserving of me, i speak cruelty like its my mother tongue.
lavender laps and lands, stabilizing my hands enough to let you go.
yellow guavas suddenly taste sweeter than mangoes
“friends” find excuses to flee from my side, using fake figures to perfect their fractured feelings.
resulting in the slants in my penmanship to go from stick straight to free and flowy.
easter lilies blossom from my bones onto the epidermis of my shoulder running down to my
biceps.
ever since you died, my life has blossomed into fluorescence.
